Joshua Kinney, master trainer at Unity Technologies, will provide the latest information and updates for this exciting platform, along with sharing a few tips and techniques. Joshua has authored hundreds of tutorials that pertain to game art, game design and game scripting. He also designed the Swords and Shovels project in coordination with Unity and Pluralsight.
Joshua specializes in Game art, 3ds Max, Photoshop, Zbrush, Substance Designer, Substance Painter, Quixel Suite, VR, Traditional art mediums, and Teaching. Plan to arrive early so you can learn more about becoming a Unity Guru!

Whether you want a career in video games, tv, or film, there are a variety of disciplines involved. But what’s the best way to learn the skills you need to succeed? In this session, Justin will talk about finding your niche in this amazing field and cover strategies to learn 3D skills and make them stick!
Justin’s career includes work on movies like Monster House and Surf’s Up, and many years teaching modeling and texturing. A ZBrush certified instructor, Justin’s favorite tools also include Maya, and Cinema 4D.

Comics and Animation

The link between comic books and film has never been stronger thanks to runaway successes like the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the tradition goes back over a century to cartoonist-turned-first-animator Winsor McCay and “Gertie the Dinosaur.” Our presentation will discuss the use of storyboard techniques for graphic narrative as well as comic paneling for furthering animation goals. We’ll also discuss the local comics scene in Oklahoma, including the free publication Okie Comics.
