This presentation will provide an overview of how the Academy Award winning Houdini software package is used to produce visual effects throughout the television, film, and gaming industries. We will take a behind the scenes look at cutting edge procedural workflows used in such productions as Game of Thrones, Avengers: Endgame, and Ghost Recon Wildlands.

John is the Training Lead for SideFX software, the company that makes Houdini. He specializes in training artists in the creation methods of procedural visual effects for television, film, and games at major studios and universities around the world.

Game Art Production for Unity

In this presentation, Josh will discuss the game art pipeline that AAA game studios are using today. He’ll show off how he goes about creating high resolution assets using Zbrush, retopologizing to make the asset engine ready, uv mapping and texturing, and shader creation. Josh will also talk about how to properly present your projects to catch the attention of studio recruiters.
